Jennifer Bishop
Jennifer Bishop-Orsulak first studied Pilates,
Kinesiology, and Anatomy at the University of Utah,
where she earned her BFA in Dance. While furthering
her dance career, in NYC, she continued to use Pilates
as a form of treating injuries. Finally, after moving
to San Francisco in 2000, she decided to study under
Carol Appel and gain her certification. Jennifer taught pilates at Body Kinetics until she co-founded POP! in 2002. She loves
teaching Pilates, loves her clients and the studio at
POP!
Jennifer Perfillio
Jennifer Perfilio received her Pilates certification in 2000 through "The
Studio" in San Francisco. She has further studied with Larry Hall of Body Arts and Science, Liz Donahue of the Corner Studio, and kinesiology specialist Jean Claude West. Jennifer has been a member of the Pilates Method Alliance since 2003 and the proud co-owner of POP since its establishment in 2002. Jennifer holds a BA degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts and has been dancing professionally for 12 years. Through her dance and Pilates practice she has become keenly aware of both the necessity and the capacity of the body to move. Jennifer enjoys learning from her clients through an exploration of their individual needs. Through this sensitive exploration, she works with her clients to discover their movement potential and to cultivate the positive effects this has on their body.
Andrea Anderson
Andrea was certified through the comprehensive 650 hour Body Kinetics Pilates Teacher Training program directed by Carol Appel. She holds a BFA in Dance from UNC-Greensboro and prior to teaching Pilates worked in Massage Therapy for six years. Her ongoing study and practice of Pilates has been crucial in managing back pain due to scoliosis and she works with her clients to discover how Pilates can help them toward a healthier, happier life. She's currently performing with Maxine Moerman Dancetheatre and spends the rest of her time riding her bicycle to and fro, making various crafts, and googling any and everything .
Joanna Fassl
Joanna is a cirque aerialist returning to SF after 2
years of performance in the US and abroad.
She began her training with Carol Appel in 1997,
continued with Lizz Roman and received her masters
teacher training with Madeline Black in 2003. She is
currently back to school to pursue a degree in
Osteopathy. Coming on 8 years of teaching Pilates,
Joanna most savors interacting with her clients and
creating a supportive and warm environment where
much attention is given to honesty of form, fluidity
and presence of movement and respect for each
individual's body and experience in their body.

Julie Sheetz
Julie Sheetz was certified by Bay Area master trainer Carol Appel in 2003. She adores teaching, practicing, and continuously learning the discipline and has even been told she conducts enthusiastic sessions in her sleep. She
began her apprenticeship in 2002 and after working at Body Kinetics and
Infusion Pilates, she's been a fortunate POPstar since 2004. Shelving her
M.S. in Geography, Julie is also a professional modern dancer and can be
seen performing on both coasts with EmSpace Dance, Huckaby McAllister,
Company Mecanique, Lisa Townsend, Fellow Travelers Performance Group, and
others. She has no spare time but dreams of yoga, knitting, photography, and
playing with dogs.
